Meet Our Assistant Principal

Ms. LaKisha Jones

LaKisha Jones serves as the assistant principal of East Dallas Elementary School and brings 21 years of experience in education. Throughout her career, she has served as a K–5 teacher, reading interventionist, and instructional coach. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education, a master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction, and a master’s degree in Urban Educational Leadership.

Ms. Jones is passionate about helping students, educators, and families reach their full potential. Guided by a servant-leadership philosophy, she believes effective leaders empower others by providing encouragement, support, and opportunities for growth.

Born and raised in North Carolina, Ms. Jones is a proud aunt to six nieces and nephews and loves spending time with her Maltipoo, Oreo. Outside of school, she enjoys working out, exploring fine dining, and learning the art of perfume layering.
